Giclee Print
All our Images are sold as Giclee Prints.
A Giclee Print is a Fine Art Print which uses Pigment Inks on museum archival quality coated Fine Art Paper ( acid free, lightfast and age resistant ) to produce a long lasting Work of Art.
Fine Art Paper
Our coated Fine Art Paper comes from Canson, one of Europe's oldest paper mills, who have been producing high quality paper since 1557 in France.
We use their 100% Rag, mould-made textured watercolour paper, Arches Aquarelle Rag 240g.This complies with the highest archival standards and is extremely age resistant. It is designed to meet gallery and museum longevity requirements and respects the ISO 9706 standard. This means among other things that it is certified acid-free.
Pigment Inks
Pigment Inks are literally pigments of colour ground down very fine and suspended in a liquid to make ink, compared to dye ink which is a dye suspended in liquid.
We use Professional K3 Ultra chrome Pigment Ink which ensures that each print is UV stable (ie lightfast) producing a print that has a longevity of at least 67 years in normal conditions and up to 100's of years in optimum conditions.
Signature, Date and Title
Each print is handsigned, dated and titled by the artist with a certified Archival Pen ( pigment based, acid free, water and fade resistant ) in the border below the print.
Mounts
Mounts ( made from virgin wood pulp ) are pH neutral and meet the Fine Art Guild's approval for standard mount board. Acid-free tape is used to attach the print to the mount.
Note : The term Mount is also known as Mat or Passepartout in some countries
Frames
Our Frames are in solid timber either in Ridged Pine or finished in Dark Red Mahogany.
The Frames and Mounts have been specially chosen to complement the Artworks.
